BS109: Assessment
Continuous Assessment:
Practical class reports: 20% total marks.
Essay: 10% total marks.
Essay titles will be assigned during the tutorials.
End of Module Examination:
Format: 1 hour paper, all short answer questions (no essays), 70% total marks.
Sample questions:
- Draw the structure of N-acetyl muramic acid. (5 marks)
- Name two genera of methanogenic archaea. (2 marks)
- What is a multipartite virus genome ? (1 mark)
- Name three non-specific defence mechanisms of mammals. (3 marks)
