Course BS224 Microbiology II: Assessment
The assessment of marks for this course will be as follows:
Continuous Assessment: 30% total course marks.
- Practical Class Write Ups: 15% total marks (Deadline: Last Practical Class)
- 2000 word essay: 15% total marks (Deadline: Friday 17th March 2000)
- Three course essays will be set, all students will be randomly assigned ONE of these.
- You will be informed which essay title you should answer during the first lecture.
- Essays must be written using a word processor. This will be explained during the first lecture. Click here to find out how to complete this assignment.
N.B: It is a University requirement that you must satisfactorily complete ALL assignments in order to gain credits for modules taken. If you do not submit assessed work, you will not gain the credits for this module & may not be able to proceed to the final year.
Please note the deadlines above.
Work handed in late will be penalized by deduction of marks.
Summer Examination: 70% total course marks.
Format: A single 3 hour written paper. The paper will be divided into four sections. Each section will have two essay titles. One essay from each section will have to be answered. The content of the paper will cover all areas of the course. The requirement to answer one question from each section means that you cannot ignore any of the lectures
